What’s the story here? Duve Berlin is a solo continuation of the Duve Kleemann gallery, after Birte Kleemann left, which is nowadays run only by Alex Duve. He abandoned his career in advertising to start his own art business, but, as he claims, he is not an art dealer. He is a gallery owner, which means that he works not only for money but mostly for passion. And that commitment has been rewarded. Duve Berlin gathers the cool cats in its space filled with politically and socially engaged pieces created by aware, mature artists of young generation.
