Barcelona city guide

Barcelona city guide.
Experience with all your senses

Strolling along the authentic, narrow, and old streets of Barcelona one can be a witness of its everyday life, and feel the identity and cultural distinctiveness of this magic city.

You are guided through the city by names of streets in Catalan language painted on beautiful tiles attached to the city buildings. To chill out, sit on mini squares among the locals and enjoy the sunshine. What else do you need to feel happy? Oh, maybe some tapas.

Barcelona city guide, where to go out

Among numerous bars, restaurants, and cafes we have our favourite spots with delicious food and drinks. There, we eat, drink, celebrate and enjoy the company of creative outsiders and beautiful locals.

The bars and restaurants draw in with their friendly atmosphere, simple interiors and design, antique furniture, floors, and wonderful details which tell life stories of the owners, their families and friends.

Barcelona what to visit

What impressed us most were definitely the facades of architectural gems charming with artistic spirit of MiróDalí, and Picasso.

Also, curvatures, oval shapes and colours of Gaudi or city elements such as pavements with carved flowers or strolling snails. Is the description detailed enough for you to visualize the city? Not really?

OK, what would you say about hills and ethereal parks with breathtaking view of Barcelona, or a sandy beach with a boardwalk, perfect for bikes and skateboards, lined with plenty of restaurants and bars bursting out with laughter and happiness each evening? That’s the beauty of Barcelona, isn’t it? Not surprisingly, Pedro Almodóvar and Woody Allen have chosen this city as a location and scenography for their films.

IN Places hopes that Barcelona will put a spell on you, too. Remember, that’s a city you don’t just visit but experience with all your senses.
