Vivian Maier (New York, 1926 – Chicago, 2009) is one of the greatest photographers of the twentieth century.
Vivian Maier’s strange and long history is written, throughout her life, between France and America. It is a pendulum movement with irregular oscillations that takes her, from New York then Chicago, to the small villages of Hautes-Alpes, St Julien, then St Bonnet, near Gap, where her mother’s family is from.
