Touche-Moi. TROPEZ im Sommerbad Humboldthain
The summer exhibition TOUCHE-MOI! shows new artworks around the themes of touch and care. In front of TROPEZ, visitors encounters a concrete column by Cecilia Bjartmar Hylta that spits animal food, the unfamous bébé-fleurs by Cédric Fargues, and the burrow busts by Dafna Maimon and Ethan Hayes-Chute. Maria Giovanna Drago darkens the kiosk with a window installation, while Manuel García Díaz tempts kiosk-goers appetites with his painting of handmade Mexican ice cream.
From the water, swimmers see flags with watercolors by Anna M. Szaflarski and the delicate silhouette of a metal female figure by Sarah Ancelle Schönfeld. Next to them, Lilli Thiessen’s shuttered children’s houses invite to play only at first glance. BLESS enlivens the terrace, which is closed for consumption, with elegant fabrics. While Lauryn Youden‘s sound installation complements the sound carpet of the swimming pool, Berkay Tuncay confuses with this ASMR radio play. The group exhibition includes analog as well as digital artworks.
