Senjogahara Marshland (戦場ヶ原) is a beautiful highland marsh located in the Nikkō National Park in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Known for its open vistas, rich ecosystems, and spectacular seasonal changes, it’s one of the top destinations for nature lovers, bird watchers, and hikers.
What you can expect? Open grasslands, wetlands, and scattered forests, spectacular views of Mt. Nantai and surrounding peaks. Senjogahara Marshland is a home to rare alpine flora and over 170 species of birds.
During spring there are blooming wildflowers and migrating birds. Summer time is a lush green wetlands. Autumn, stunning fall foliage. Winter, snow-covered trails and quiet landscapes.
