Marugame Genichiro‑Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art. MIMOCA Japan
MIMOCA museum in Japan was founded with the full cooperation of the artist Genichiro Inokuma (1902–1993) who grew up around Marugame. The collection includes around 20,000 works donated by him.
MIMOCA Japan mission is to display Inokuma’s art and to be a space for contemporary art, featuring exhibitions of Japanese and international artists, educational programmes, and public engagement.
The building itself is designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, offers a serene, well-lit space that enhances the art.
