The picturesque, classicist residence of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski with a complex of buildings designed by eminent architects (such as Tylman of Gameren, Domenico Merlini, Jan Christian Kamsetzer) with four gardens (royal, romantic, modernist and Chinese) was transformed into a museum in 1960. Today you can visit Łazienki to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city, listen to an outdoor concert at the Fryderyk Chopin monument and meet peacocks dignifiedly walking through the gardens, or visit one of the galleries – the Palace on the Isle with the Royal Gallery of Paintings, the Old Orangery with plaster copies of ancient sculptures, or the White Cottage, which houses the Royal Graphics Gallery. Whatever you choose, relaxation in a beautiful environment is guaranteed.
