The Mexicraneos skulls are painted and decorated by Mexican artisans and artists for El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). These were presented during the last parade in Mexico City in November 2018.
The Alebrijes, on the other hand, are statues representing imaginary beings. Combining several animals, fantastic or real, they form a unique and astonishing being, with joyful and vibrant colors. Native to the Oaxaca region of Mexico, these hybrid creatures testify creativity, fantasy and technical skill of Mexican artists.
