In Reus I was born, in Barcelona I was formed and in Mallorca I found myself. Architect as profession, restless by nature, during a summer soaked with salt, was born the need to give shape to a dream; always fascinated by the island, where I have been living for more than twelve years, SANTAPALMA project was born, a line of handbags made from the leaves of the palm trees that decorate my garden.
I have passion for my city, Palma, and the Mediterranean nature that is part of my history. This inspired me to create a line of bags of simple, honest, Mediterranean designs.
I like the creative process of experimenting with local materials looking for new connections between them, this allows me to get rid of everything unnecessary, and brings me closer to the essential, the basics. Beauty exists in unknown and unnoticed details; my dream is to create designs where imperfection brings us closer to what we really are.
