Japan Connection Festival 2019
French and international premieres, concerts, live unreleased, DJ sets, but also meetings around the Japanese electro culture. The Japan Connection Festival Paris is the first festival in the world entirely dedicated to Japanese electronic music.
Between tradition and modernity
In the land of technology, it is no wonder that electronic music has found a favorite terrain. The fascination for technological progress, crystallized in the production of machines and embodied by the know-how of Roland, Korg or Yamaha, has seen the emergence of many Japanese producers who have marked the genre of an indelible imprint.
Since the 1980s, the Japanese electro scene has continued to deploy a world towards the future. By integrating the heritage of traditional music into its creative process, Japanese electro has become internationally renowned for sound and technical experimentation.
First festival of its kind
After two sold-out editions in 2017 and 2018 at New Morning and Trabendo, the Japan Connection project turns into a festival in 2019 to present the best of Japanese electronic music, from the techno-pop of the late 70s to its contemporary actors. It is the first festival in the world entirely dedicated to Japanese electronic music.
