Staatliche Museen zu Berlin invites all to extensive summer programme offering newly designed concepts and smaller events at several locations in Berlin shows. There are numerous opportunities for families, young people and adults to explore the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
Under the slogan Get Away to the (Museum) Island, visitors are invited to discover selected Staatliche Museen zu Berlin venues and collections during the summer holidays. Participants explore exciting art and cultural themes in outdoor settings with ample space. The focus is on Berlin’s Museumsinsel, where the Kolonnadenhof and Haus Bastian provide the sites for activities, discussions and guided tours. Similar offers are also available at the Kulturforum, Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK, Museum of European Cultures) at the Dahlem museum site. Beginning in July, the Kolonnaden Bar invites visitors to the Museumsinsel to evening lectures and refreshments. Events take place weekly unless noted otherwise.
